Solar Wind Electric Inc. is a leading Renewable Energy (RE) Specialist. Our roots began in 1989, when our founder, Chris Olthuis, opened a general home renovation business. From there, after becoming a licensed electrician in 1996, Chris grew the business into a general electrical contracting business. A decision was made in 2001 to concentrate specifically on renewable energy and the result of that evolution has brought Solar Wind Electric to where we are today – one of the leading Renewable Energy Specialists in Ontario.

Chris became a Master Electrician in 2008, and we are currently one of the only Electrical Contractors in Ontario which specializes in RE Systems. We are fully licensed under the Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Act, and by the Electrical Contractor Registration Agency of the Electrical Safety Authority (#7000835).

We provide professional, innovative solutions for your energy and FIT and microFIT needs which has helped differentiate us from our competitors, and resulted in strong and steady growth of our firm.
